Stroke victims need massage and exercise to help with getting some movement back to their bodies. This will depend on how bad the stroke was and how much are you willing to put into your exercise to what you get out of the rehabilitation.
If you are not will to push yourself to get better then you will never get ahead, you may not be as good as your where before the stroke but you can improve your limbs by exercising. You only get out what you put into your help. Be lazy and you will never improve.
I have worked with many stroke victims over the years, some get some movement back, other have a lot of movement back and live a good healthy life.
Some just don't want to help themselves, these people will never get better, if anything they will get worse over time.
Push to live and get some freedom back in your life, just don't feel sorry for yourself do something about it. Sometimes family think they are doing the right thing by their love, but they are limiting their love ones if they don't let other people help as they will get burnt out trying to help.
